Rescue Day 2016

Posted: 17/06/2016

Rescue Day 2016 | The Emergency Services Demonstrating Their SkillsDemonstrating the skills of the Emergency Services

It provides the local community with the chance to witness all the major emergency services in action. Now in its seventh year, Rescue Day has proved hugely successful and visitors will experience practical exercises, displays and exhibitors will be able to demonstrate their skills, expertise and equipment.

The purpose of Rescue Day is to bring together as many of our rescue services as possible in one place to demonstrate ‘live’ what they do and how they do it as well as raising public awareness on safety issues such as the dangers of open waters, road safety, fire prevention and general community safety issues. It aims to combine an informative and fun approach for visitors of all ages.

Rescue Day also gives the emergency services the chance to show off their skills to the public in a realistic yet non critical environment.
