This one-day training course is designed to provide tower crane workers with the skills and practical experience required for self-evacuation and the rescue of a casualty from a tower crane, or other tall structures such as cab, crane structure, ladder, walkway or a casualty suspended from a lanyard after a fall.
The Tower Crane Rescue course syllabus includes;
Anchor point selection | Identification of safe decent paths |
Self-evacuation | Tower crane rescue kits |
Rescue from the crane cab | Rescue from crane jib |
Care of a casualty | Handling casualty who is suspended in a harness |
Risks associated with harness suspension | Fitting of the full-body harness |
