This course is designed to provide the delegate with the knowledge and understanding to work safely at height. They will gain the skills to enable the safe use of a full-body harness, energy-absorbing lanyards and work positioning lanyards.

With over *40 fatal injuries resulting from work at height during 2018-2019, is it time we take risks associated with working at height extremely seriously*.

Basic Safety Harness Course - Delegates will learn the limitations of safety harness requirement

The delegate will understand the uses and limitations of work at height equipment and have an appreciation of the implications of an emergency situation.

The 1/2 Day basic safety harness training course will cover the following elements:

 Legislation  Types of protection against falls from height
 Types of access using personal fall protection equipment  Selection and types of personal fall protection equipment for fall arrest
 Care, maintenance, inspection and disposal of personal fall protection equipment  Pre-use checks
 Fitting and adjustment of personal fall protection equipment before climbing  Climbing and moving around structures
 Rescue and considerations for incidents involving harness suspension
