As a result of being born nine weeks premature, 3-year-old Emma Smyth has cerebral palsy, which mainly affects her ability to walk. Emma is an amazing little girl, who is extremely active and loves swimming and pretty much anything will make her laugh.
Emma undertakes regular stretching exercises on a daily basis and also receives intensive physiotherapy on a frequent basis. The goal was to raise £40,000 towards the cost of an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR), which will massively improve Emma’s quality of life and her ability to walk unaided.
Emma’s parents Jon and Louise have set up their own charity Emma’s Wish and hosted various events throughout 2018 to raise funds towards the costs of the operation. HFR Solutions also staged some fundraising events during the year.
Nick Granger Managing Director, HFR Solutions CIC commented “HFR Solutions are delighted to be supporting a great charity and helping Jon and Louise in their fundraising efforts. We hope our support can make a difference and help towards achieving the target of £40,000 for Emma’s operations costs”.
