Trauma workshop held for Ukrainian Firefighters

​

Delighted to have hosted a team of Ukrainian firefighters at our training centre, in association with Humberside Fire & Rescue Service. Our Learning and Development Lead Rob Granger held a trauma workshop for the group.

Canal Boat

 

Tilly is a community canal boat which we hope will help engage communities and facilitate social interaction between generations. Our team have fitted industrial wet room flooring, collapsible tables, seating and new steps.

Humber Rescue Lifejackets

HFR Solutions have supported Humber Rescue, by purchasing and sponsoring 20 new life vests. The independent charity relies on volunteers to provide fast response cover to the Humber estuary and its tributaries.

HFRS Equipment Funding

We have supported HFRS to fund the purchase of new lock breaking and life-saving equipment, The new equipment will compliment HFRS's existing at-the-scene Road Traffic Collision responders.

RNLI Thermal
Image Camera

We are delighted to have funded the purchase of a new Pulsar Axion XM30 Thermal Monocular image camera which will be used by the teams to assist with callouts. We are proud to support the RNLI and HM Coastguards.

Emergency First Response Vehicle

In 2018, we provided East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust with a community-based Emergency Response Vehicle. This will help in the delivery of immediate response and interim care to the communities of Barton and surrounding areas.

Experience Days
With Schools

We partnered with the Hull and East Yorkshire Children's University and North Lincolnshire Children's University to provide Experience Days for Year 6 pupils. The pupils learnt about fighting fire, first-aid and teamwork.

Fire Extinguisher Donation

After releasing their extinguishers were out of date, Brantingham Village Hall were provided them with 6 new fire extinguishers from HFR Solutions. This ensured the Hall now complies with fire legislation.

Louth Community Defibrillator

We partnered with Ecotricity to award Grimoldby Cricket Club with a community defibrillator. The presentation took place at the Club's Presentation Day.

Fire Detection Dogs

HFR Solutions have supported an initiative to recruit and train two dogs, who would become two of only 17 Fire Accelerant Detection dogs based in the UK. We provided a donation to help assist with initial training and licensing of the dogs.

Lifesaving Defibrillator in Barton

 A public access defibrillator has been installed at the Viking Centre in Barton, with 24/7 availability for emergency usage. This investment will have a significant impact on making the community safer.

Heart Start Program

Our community-based Heart Start Program provides community groups with free first aid and basic life support training sessions. Individuals learn how to deliver basic life support training, first aid, AED and CPR training.

Lateral Flow Tests In The Community

Solutions have been working in partnership with Public Health England to make lateral flow tests more accessible to the public. Our staff are out in the community twice a week handing out tests.

PDR Pro For Humber Rescue

We are delighted to assist Humber Rescue with the provision of an electronic Maintenance of Competency system PDR Pro and provide funding for the provision of licenses for all response personnel.

Joe Bowers Project

Through our close working relationship with South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, Solutions became aware of Joe Bowers story. Joe suffered severe burns in 2001 when being rescued from a house fire. We were happy to raise funding to gift Joe with a new electric wheelchair.

Grenfell Tower Stair Climb

In 2017, members of HFR Solutions organised the Grenfell stair Climb Challenge. They climbed the height of Mount Everest in full BA to raise £12,444 for those families affected by the Grenfell fire.

Abseil

We were delighted to host a unique event that allowed local charity fundraiser Jason and his wife Elizabeth to abseil off the Humber Bridge. Jason was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, leaving him virtually paralysed.

Devil's Kitchen

With the support of the Smile's Foundation, two teams from Solutions determined who the best cooks and hosts were by going head to toe at the Riverside 1 East Riding College. the event raised £2,300 for local charities.

Everest Ladder Climb

in 2017, 20 new Humberside Fire and Rescue trainees climbed two 7m ladders for over 3 hours, totalling 8,848m - the height of the world's highest peak. Donations to the challenge were then given to charity.

Emma's Wish

Emma's parents set up Emma's Wish to raise funds for an operation which would massively improve Emma's quality of life. HFR Solutions raised fund through various fundraising events including Humber Swim and Tough Muddle.
